Pick up from your hotel at 0730 in the morning. Drive north from Chiang Mai towards Thaton, the total journey taking about 3 hrs there and another 3hrs back. On the way up to Thaton stop first at the orchid farm to see the wonderful variety of orchids grown in the North of Thailand. Continue driving and stop next at Chiang Dao Caves where we explore these ancient temple caves which date back many hundreds of years. Drive further on to Thaton and to the Padong "long neck" village. Walk the short distance into the village and spend some time there also visiting the nearby Akha & Lahu tribes. We then make the return journey back to Chiang Mai arriving back approx. 6pm. As it's a private tour we can make stops for photos etc. along the way.
